STL dinner and a movie is a trans-led space for trans and nonbinary people. The Prince is a play for anyone who likes sword fighting, lesbians, and has complicated feelings about the roles they're expected to play. Features characters from Shakespeare's Henry IV, without needing to have seen any Shakespeare to get it. Tuesday the 19th of May, 6pm. The movie will start at around 6.30pm, with a short break in the middle. As usual, there will be a free vegan meal. The film will run for 121 minutes and hang out space will be available until 9.00pm. This film contains flashing lights and may not be suitable for those with photosensitive conditions. Content warnings: stage blood, homophobic slurs, unintentional misgendering, early transition feelings, suicidal ideation, social exclusion, family conflict around gender identity, repressing of gender identity. We try and include anything that would be unexpected or likely to cause distress, but may not catch everything relevant for every person for every film. ♿ The space has two accessible loos and is wheelchair accessible 🏳️‍⚧️ The space is trans-led and is a safer space with some privacy from the street ❓If anyone has any questions, please message us on Instagram or email [email protected]

We're excited to announce that on Tuesday 19th May 6-9pm we will be hosting an archiving workshop lead by K.J Rawson, the creator of the Digital Trans Archive. This will be a trans-led space for all queer people. A free vegan meal will be provided, as well as tea, coffee, and biscuits. Due to the size of our space we are capping this event at 24 spaces. Spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis, with a waitlist open in case people are no longer able to attend. We do ask that if you are no longer able to attend that you let us know as soon as possible so we can open your space up for someone else. The workshop will include a discussion of STL's own archive, a talk from K.J. Rawson about the DTA, a Q&A session, and discussions on the DTA and what a community-led Glasgow based trans archive could look like. Librarian Bryn's Animated Film Night is back! This Tuesday, our resident animation obsessive is scarily excited to show us another slice of her favourite weird short films. Our main feature comes from animator Jonni Peppers, who made us all cry about a UFO cult a few months ago in *Wasteland*. Jonni's next series *Secrets and Lies in a Town of Sinners* presents a series of surreal vignettes about a small town and the people, cryptids and cultists which inhabit it. It's as funny and moving as her other films and we're very very excited to be able to show it. Alongside Jonni's series, we have a collection of strange and beautiful films from various corners of the subcultural hypercube! We will meet Bevibel and September from the Line Rider scene, which got very trans and very artsy in the last ten years. From the demoscene, meanwhile, we have Bryn's latest prod 'Swizzle's Journey', and the mindblowing 'Razor1911'. What's a demoscene? Come along and find out! The programme is about two hours in total. There will be a ten minute break in the middle to let you catch your breath ;) Note: *Razor1911*, *Super Flu* and *Snooze Quest* contain flashing lights. Content warnings: SALIATOS - cults, violence, family abuse Change My Name - references to transphobia, religious trauma Snooze Quest - mental illness, drug use, medical abuse, references to suicide, prisons, police violence Vulvina - explicit sexual imagery, sexualised murder, implication of child sexual abuse We try and include anything that would be unexpected or likely to cause distress, but may not catch everything relevant for every person for every film. ♿ The space has two accessible loos, and is wheelchair accessible. 🏳️‍⚧️ The space is trans-led and is a safer space with some privacy from the street. ❓ If anyone has any questions, please message us on Instagram or email [email protected]

STL dinner and a movie is a trans-led space for trans and nonbinary people. Pillion (2025) is a dark comedy and drama about the romance between two men, an experienced biker and an inexperienced submissive who gets increasingly into the biker scene as the relationship gets more dysfunctional. Tuesday the 14th of April, 6pm. The movie will start at around 6.30pm, with a short break in the middle. As usual, there will be a free vegan meal. The film will run for 107 minutes and hang out space will be available until 9.00pm. This film contains flashing lights and it is not suitable for those with photosensitive conditions. Content warnings: dubious consent, possible sexual assault, self harm, terminal illness, off screen death. The above content warnings were taken from doesthedogdie and the movie's synopsis, as none of our librarians have seen this one yet. We try and include anything that would be unexpected or likely to cause distress, but may not catch everything relevant for every person for every film. ♿ The space has two accessible loos and is wheelchair accesible 🏳️‍⚧️ The space is trans-led and is a safer space with some privacy from the street ❓If anyone has any questions, please message us on Instagram or email [email protected]

Wasteland dwells on the subjectivity of reality through its individual films: the Earth is Flat, Goodbye Forever Party, Dr Sam Mulaney's Burden, We Are All Dying in the Wasteland and Final Exit of the Disciples of Ascensia. The screening will be accompanied with a free vegan meal as well as teas and coffees. Tuesday the 3rd of February, 6pm. The movie will start at around 6.30pm, with a short break in the middle. Content warnings: child abuse, domestic violence, drugging, drowning, force feeding, body horror, self harm, premature burial, choking, stabbing, transphobia, parent death, kidnapping, trypophobia, vomit, discussion of suicide, misophonia, ptsd, unreality, dysphoria. STL Dinner and a movie is a trans-led space for trans and nonbinary people. For legal reasons this is not actually an instructional! Join us for 2023’s “How To Blow Up A Pipeline”, based on the book by Andreas Malm, which follows a group of radical eco-activists as they aim to do, well, exactly what you’d think! As ever, there will be a free vegan meal to accompany the film. Content warnings: Addiction, alcohol use, police arrest, gunshot wound, broken bones, vomiting, incarceration, close up of a needle, offscreen death, explosions with sudden loud noise, and shakey cam We have been unable to confirm whether or not this movie contains flashing lights, therefore it may not be safe for those with photosensitive conditions Content warnings taken from doesthedogdie, the librarian who wrote this caption has not seen this film (but is looking forward to watching it next week!) ♿️ this space has two accessible loos and is wheelchair accessible 🏳️‍⚧️ This space is trans-led and is a safe space with some privacy from the street ❓is anyone has any questions, please message us on instagram or email [email protected]
