TRANS CHORUS IS BACK 🧡 we are so excited to be hosting monthly workshops @staffordshirest starting from 21st September. Come sing and move with us! Link in bio for all the details ⬆️⬆️⬆️ We are expanding the team for this one 👀 We have the wonderful @lourobbin_ co-facilitating gentle movement explorations and @wearesensoria co-ordinating access needs for the group. We will do some proper intros soon but safe to say this will be a special workshop ! This first workshop is the start of our Generative Residency at Staffordshire St - a year long project that looks at how singing and moving the body supports trans+ disabled and neurodivergent folks to be a little more here in this very strange world. We can’t wait to see what shapes and sounds we will find together x

We seriously activated some trans magic on Sunday. Thank you @museumoftransology for having @transchorus for the closing day of Transcestry. It was beyond special to sing in this powerful space with this amazing group of people (some hadn’t sung in public before would you believe) to a beautiful attentive audience. We need more of this. Facts. You’re welcome to join us on 1 June @queercircle for more trans-chanting-magic ✨ sessions are free! link in the trans chorus bio for booking. singing in community is what can sustain us through this wild time. Together we are LOUD! Deepest gratitude to the chorus who came together for this performance and sending love to those who couldn’t be there. So thankful for @wearesensoria for supporting us with everyone’s access needs on the project and helping to make access be a key part of the performance. A couple weeks back I was supposed to speak with my dear friend @margomool at the @sonorities Belfast music festival on the research we have been doing for over a year now on curating sensory and Covid safe(r) spaces for trans disabled artists… Due to my current relapse I was unable to attend however and sent this video in lieu of that. As the presentation was on “Improvising Survivalism” it felt very apt. #chronicillness #covidcautious #covidsafe #radicalaccessibility #transdisabled
