Last week’s showcase day for the Gaming Accelerator! Not just pitches, but demos and networking too… a great evening all round celebrating another cohort coming through a Tramshed Tech programme. The accelerator, funded by Creative Wales, was designed to support gaming founders where it matters most, from business modelling and user research to market sizing, revenue planning, and pitch refinement. Yesterday, we hosted an MIT AI Masterclass right here at Tramshed Tech, Grangetown! Delivered by Melissa Webster, Senior Lecturer in Managerial Communication at MIT Sloan School of Management and in partnership with Business Wales. Whether attendees were just starting their AI journey or already exploring its possibilities, the session was designed to meet them where they are and take them further. This exclusive executive masterclass gave SME leaders and AI champions a front-row seat to one of the most significant shifts in modern business!

Future innovators in action ✨ Our MSc Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine students recently stepped out of the lab and into the world of entrepreneurship as they delivered their business pitches for the ‘Futuretech: From Lab to Market’ module 🧪➡💼 This challenges students to explore how cutting‑edge science can become real‑world innovations by developing their own science-based startup concepts 💡 Workshops and mentoring sessions with the likes of Barclays Eagle Labs, Tramshed Tech, the Development Bank of Wales, and Cardiff University’s Startup & Enterprise Team help them build skills in communication, pitching, and translating complex science for investors. The experience culminates in a live investment‑style pitch to a panel of programme leads, Barclays Startup Ecosystem Managers, and academic and industry experts 📊💬 Experiences like this help students prepare for careers in biotech, healthcare innovation, startups, and research translation!
