I gave up overthinking for Lent….
So prepare to be seeing more from me

I know how vulnerable it feels to start a fitness journey, and the reason I made this my career is because I hate how predatory and exclusive this industry can be. At my gym I did everything in my power to build a community around getting strong in the right way for you, because there are a million ways to get fit even if that salesfluencer or commercial tells you different.
I always try to include everyone and empower you to experiment, stay flexible, embrace obstacles, rest when needed, and push when you can.
I knew I wasn’t for everyone but also knew I could help you find what IS right for you. That worked beautifully at my gym and the community that grew around it was strong, diverse, and honestly kind of magical.
Then my gym ended, Covid hit, and everything moved virtual.
I wanted to bring that same energy here and be the place you came for guidance and inspiration without a sales pitch. I chose not to share much of my personal life or even products I genuinely believed in because I never wanted to add to the noise. The problem is I became a bit of a shell, and anytime I said or did something anyone perceived as “off” from the brand they’d written for me, they’d let me know. Often in not so nice ways. This is obviously frustrating when you’ve tried hard to just help without getting much if anything from
It, so I pulled back from sharing basically…anything.
Long story short, everything needs context. My community at Salt was magical but it doesn’t translate to the internet, and it’s time to just be fully and authentically me. Also.. I’m very aware I’m the only one who wrote these rules for myself so I’m just choosing to unwrite them cause.. I’m tired and only showing a sliver of yourself is exhausting. Who knows what this will look like and I will definitely still keep a lot of my private life private because the internet is creepy as hell but I’ll also be diversifying my offerings cause fitness is 1/8th of my wild life.
Thanks for following along through this novel of a caption. I hope we can still be #bfbb hehe
Back in the lab
…sort of
Still whittling away In physical therapy and trying to build a better long term plan for this fragile body of mine but a girls gotta work (and man does it feel good).
Not being able to move is much more of a mental than a physical torture for me.
I move to process, release, brainstorm, get inspiration, find calm and even rest.
I have a body that craves movement for so much more than just achieving aesthtic or strength goals. It needs it to function and without it I’m pretty lost and my brain definitely feels underwater.
The last 6 months have been more than a struggle trying to pinpoint the cause of all the pain and movement limitation but I am starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel. Now it’s just about building back slowly and intentionally which will be its own struggle because when I’m ready to go, I’m already there.
Thankful for such a supportive team @tempo . Through this bout of pain exercise has become a point of anxiety for me. Not knowing what could trigger it and not trusting my own body make it really hard to do much with confidence, especially on camera and has definitely sent me into isolation mode. But as much as my brain needs movement it needs community and collaboration and every time I’m at the studio that anxiety subsides and a little of the “old” me can peak through the clouds! A reminder that our brains are often lying to us, they mean well but.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Shavings make a pile my friends. Wishing you all the best wherever you are with your body and heart and realllllly hope there is sunshine in your near future. ♥️
Shape Shift 3 launched a few weeks ago so I can finally reflect and give a little shout out to my @tempo Shape Shift team.
These programs take so many hours of prep, programming, testing, filming, refilming, editing and so on and on but they are SO rewarding.
Hearing and seeing all your stories and testimonials makes it’s all worth it and helps inform the next iteration.
I’m forever so inspired by what you all overcome to commit to your health and build lasting strength and confidence so please keep sharing!
Also forever in awe of how cool our studio team can make me look! 📸 👀 @violetbeano@arimaypi@error_on@kejuanureeves
Although this program is difficult it’s designed to grow with you and allow you the space and ability to modify and change as life throws the inevitable curveballs. It’s a mixture of modalities that over the years I think cultivates the best mix of strength, aesthetics, athleticism, mobility and teaches you to self coach when you need to.
Like a lot of you I struggle to sometimes be present with my wins but I’m taking that time now.
Always in your corner!
A perfect sweaty sunday to keep my life and body in balance. Checked out the opening party for the communal sauna and plunge @vitalice.sf and IVs from @avalon_vitality after a workout.
Social saunas are a long time favorite activity of mine so i was stoked to have another amazing option. Even though im not a fan of a cold plunge Vital ice has 4 temps so you can ease your way into the freeze. After you shower off there is are two group saunas and an infrared room (rotisserie time!) to round out your session. i usually do 3-4 rounds of sauna and plunge!
Pro tip: plunging while yapping makes it 100x less awful so make a friend!
If you’re not in the mood to socialize they also have private sauna/plunge rooms available.
After the session it was time for a recovery IV from the new @avalon_vitality . If there is a fan club for mobile IVs i’m in it and Avalon brought the hydration and recovery.
If this resonates hopefully i see ya in the sauna soon!

End of winter/early spring offload. The longest and shortest season yet.
Looking through these past months is a WILD ride. Is it hot? Is it cold? Am I pale? Am I tan? Am I healthy? Am I hurt?
2026 is really packing it all the ups and downs in!
Major takeaway continues to be-
Sunshine, movement and rest fix a lot of problems and documenting your life is important so you remember the good stuff, not just the hard.
I encourage to do a little scroll and see if there was something that happened that was maybe sweet and small that you forgot about and it gives you a little boost today.
Oh and I’ll post more Mexico when my tan starts to fade and I need that same boost! Xoxo
Hey SF runners,
You must not know this but those energy gels are supposed to make it to the trash can.. not to the dunes and beach! No worries though, we all make mistakes (but seriously so so so manh mistakes you guys!)
I know it’s hard to go fast when you’re weighed down but it’s not race day everyday and there isn’t a clean up crew following you around SO… go ahead and keep those packs on you until you hit the next block (there is a trash can at every light, I promise!) Also… maybe show up to the next beach clean up and help keep your gym beautiful ok? Love ya, you’ve got this!
Share with your runners that love their city! 😘 @oceanbeachpark #trashpeoplearehot

Feeling long winded today so I’ll keep it short…
Eternally grateful to all of you for showing up for yourselves and for me today. You make the hard stuff feel worthwhile and keep me motivated and inspired to keep pushing to be a better coach and a better athlete.
Thanks for letting me be on your team!
Xoxo drop what your thankful for in the comments so I can absorb some second hand goodness!
Jk.
I love a turkey trot but I also love teaching this @tempo live class slot and this year I’m going SOLO so I need you to show up and keep me company.
Come sweat with me before family, football and/or feast time.
This class is travel and family friendly. You can do the whole thing bodyweight or grab whatever cans or bottles you have around for more resistance.
Although you’ll get seriously sweaty, I can promise it’ll feel anything but serious and I can promise that if you really put in the work you’ll burn just as many cals in my class as you would in those streets!
Xoxo 😘
This is a fitness post, this is not a fitness post.
The calendar may say Scorpio season is coming to a close but it never does in my heart. I’m feeling very grateful for the people and experiences in my cute AF life so let’s get deep ok? 🦂 🖤
I’ve been training hard (sometimes too hard) for over half my life now but I lived a full life before fitness was apart of it too. I can say without question that consistently choosing exercise makes your life better.
Your life is easier when you’re strong. Your days and energy are more balanced. You have a place to go when you need to think or not think. You sleep better and generally make better choices with what you consume. You feel the consequences of bad lifestyle choices in a way that actually teaches you a lesson. You get to feel personal success. You’re surrounded by people who also want to be better and whether you know it or not that pushes you harder.
All of these things are true and real but are even better when you use all of it to live a better, fuller and more adventurous life.
I’ve been coaching for a long long time and all I ever hope to pass on is that you can be flexible and still commitment. You can ride the ebbs and flows of life and not fall behind. You can powerlift and do Pilates and you’ll probably be better for it.
Your fitness journey will be ever changing and full of nuance and sometimes injury and lots of set backs but it will all be ok. The most important thing is that you’re doing it all for you, not for someone or something else. It’s gotta be intrinsic if you want to stay the course. Outside inspiration and support is wonderful but it fades so you have to find what continually fills your cup.
Try and have fun with fitness and integrate movement that brings you joy. Let the challenges you face at the gym become new goals to work towards instead of things that discourage you.(especially if you’re carrying an old version of you around) and don’t let fitness get in the way of your life or relationships…if it is, you’re definitely missing the point.
As I love to say @tempo
We train on the mat so we can live better off of it. Love you, mean it.
