Because it was his first time we were patient and paced out each run and station accordingly. We smashed our goal time by 19 minutes, we were thinking anywhere from 1:30-1:20 but 1:11 is fire. Considering we had more in the tank at the end we are looking forward to another one in the near future and really push the needle.
Overall, an amazing day-trip in a new city and a great time spent with my client. Boston was quiet, clean and had its own beauty.
The preparation was much harder than the race and that is the take-away. Train hard so the race is easy.

WEIGHTED DIP - 52.5kg, 70kg, 80kg 🟢🟢🔴
Total: 137.5kg / 302.5lbs
5 out of 6 lifts completed, i got the 3rd strongest lifts combined in my 87kg / 191lbs weight class. This qualified me for Nationals in Colorado!!!
We’ve got work to do, job’s not done.
Nationals is 4 weeks out & this is a once in lifetime experience that i won’t miss or waste.
Training will be tight on this timeline. With 4 lifts on the board instead of 2, this will be an all out effort (squat, muscle up, dip, pull up). i have faith i’m bringing my best.

I’m proud of the running and conditioning work we did to get us to perform this well as a team
Of course if I was by myself I could do a minute or more faster each, but that’s not what WE trained for
This one was different than other competitions, it wasn’t focused on just MY performance and there was beauty in seeing my client change over 8 weeks into this monster you see captured
It’s his face of excitement that truly brought me joy and his ability to hold the pace

My teammate for HYROX Boston and client has decided to give back to an important charity that is near and dear to his heart: The Why Me Foundation, which is a nonprofit that has supported families facing childhood cancer for more than 40 years.
Why Me was founded by 13-year-old Sherry Shepherd during her own cancer battle, and today continues to provide free programs and Sherry’s House, a home-away-from-home for families during treatment.
Support us through every Rep and Step by doing what you can to support the cause, either by donating or sharing this post and the link to get the word out.
