Sometimes the best days on the trail come with a little gray sky.
Fewer crowds, softer light, and a whole different kind of calm you don’t get on the bluebird days.
Not every great day has to be sunny.
Our friends at @jeep Badge of Honor had a little bit of spare time during Easter Jeep Safari, so what did we do? Took them out to wheel a Badge of Honor Trail of course!
They jumped in the 392, a couple of our very capable friends joined the caravan, and we followed the Trails Offroad map to Steel Bender and The Fall (on Flat Pass).
"Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Detroit anymore..." we loved seeing the smiles of trail time well spent!
Today, we celebrate this planet we call home and the amazing places we get to explore. We also take a moment to share a few suggestions on ways you can give back as an outdoor and off-road enthusiast:
🗑️ Do Your Part On Your Own
It's a no-brainer, our crew does it all the time! Something as simple as keeping a reusable trash sack on hand for your own disposables and any stray bits you see on the trails is a great practice.
🏛️ Support Organizations Advocating 4WD Access
Consider donating to organizations that advocate for the off-road community and responsible outdoor access. Check out the @blueribboncoalition Lost Trails Guidebook Volume 3 as a donation option.
🛠️ Volunteer Your Time
Whether it’s with a non-profit, a club, or just a gathering of friends, donate a day of your time and give back to the lands we love exploring. Contact your local land manager, search online, or check out @treadlightlyteam
Headed to Overland Expo West next month? Check out a volunteer opportunity available with Trails Offroad and Tread Lightly! (Details in final photo)
The @jeep concept vehicle line-up for 2026 was extra exciting for the Trails Offroad team this year, as the Anvil 715 featured our powerful trail map for off-road navigation.
The Jeep Wrangler Anvil 715 concept is a purpose-built vision of what an overland‑focused Wrangler can be: capable, intentional and thoughtfully engineered without unnecessary bulk.
We had a great time checking it out and taking a spin around Fins N' Things!
Heading to @overlandexpo West? Join Tread Lightly!, the @overlandexpofoundation and @trailsoffroad for a cleanup and kiosk installation project on Saturday, May 16!
