APOLLO Music Video 🚀💙• Continuing the 2025 year-in-review with one of the most exciting shoots. Mikey shared the Apollo treatment with me and I immediately said “well, there’s no way I’m not producing this”. We were on set 2 weeks later. Apollo was scrappy as hell (literally) but executed with the most stunning precision and ease (and it received a rolling stone feature…hello??). @chrissychlapecka • thank you SO much for letting me into your sacred orbit. You are a true sister and an absolute star beyond belief. With First Death being printed and mastered next week, I’ve been feeling so nostalgic for this cast, this crew, this time. We shot in January, after pushing several times because of the Los Angeles fires, and our last day of filming landed on this year’s inauguration. This queer set was going through it — but we did it together. From the beginning, Alyssa and I wanted this to be a corrective experience. We set out to build a crew and cast of POC and queer folks, and it created the most joyful, tender, emotional set I’ve ever been on.🌈 So many people to thank but I’ll start with a handful for now: @thatamygeist and @unofficialmorgan • I tear up thinking about everything you did for First Death, and for me as a human. You made me the producer I am today. Thank god you let me into your orbit. @childclown • What an extraordinary actor and soul. You made this film what it is, and I’m endlessly grateful for your craft and your beautiful mind. @alyssalerner • my❤️ The world would be better if everyone got just one day seeing through your eyes. The way you implement such nuance and complexity into your art while still remaining so accessible is just stunning. Thank you for turning me into a producer. I can’t wait to keep creating with you. At a loss for words to explain the impact of this clerkship. I met life long soulmates. I mastered the art of surprise. I spent hours upon hours considering what it means to be just and merciful, what it means to create nuance and complexity within a rigid, black and white world. I can’t even begin to explain how much my life and thinking have evolved this past year. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And now, onward. ⚖️👩‍⚖️
