We are nineteen days out from California’s June 2nd election.
RE: MAYORAL RACE
Rae Huang (who I like) is polling at 4%.
Compare that to NYC’s Mamdani, another progressive, virtually unknown before his race — who was polling at FORTY-FIVE percent 30 days before his election.
I hope to see Huang run against Raman in the future. But THIS is not Huang’s race. Voting for her now does not improve her chances of running again down the line. Nor does it signal to the Democratic establishment that we want more left leaning candidates (we need to utilize other tactics to manage that).
Vote for the viable candidate you most want to organize with or against — for me, that’s RAMAN.
RE: GOVERNOR RACE
Butch Ware (who I don’t like) won’t even be appearing on the ballot. If the man can’t make it onto the ballot, I’m not sure why anyone would have confidence in his ability to get things done.
If you’re tired of the Dem establishment handpicking milquetoast candidates, imo, you gotta go STEYER.
But would love to hear what you think!
