New build for my buddies in @youngthegiant This rig is outfitted with a @iconnectivity_interfaces PA1U and a MIOXM. This gives you 12 channels of redundant tracks, 4 MIDI over XLR inputs, 4 MIDI over XLR outputs, and 2 host ports. The 8 port Netgear Ethernet switch allows for all of this to be networked together and gives the rig 4 ethercon ports for a variety of RTP MIDI possibilities. The rig is powered by a multi voltage modular power supply and also has a couple of 70W MacBook chargers inside for their laptops. All of this fits comfortably into a @circlethreedesigns three space carryon fly rig in a Pelican 1535. Here’s a lovely carryon sized fly rig that was put together earlier this year for @24kgoldn in a @circlethreedesigns T-Rack. We got it down into this smaller footprint after they got tired of the larger and heavier pelican getting tossed around by the airlines with reckless abandon. Im happy to say with my latest design you no longer have to sacrifice either, and can have the best of both worlds with an incredibly powerful and compact playback rig. This latest design built into the amazingly versatile @circlethreedesigns T-RACK is outfitted with an @iconnectivity_interfaces PA1U and a MioXM, two @uaudio Apollo Twin Duos, a @radialeng Backtrack, TP-Link 5 Port Ethernet Switch, TP-Link Nano Wireless Router, and it’s all powered with a Modular Multi Voltage Power Supply that can be used anywhere in the world. All of this muscle is comfortably fit into a carryon sized 1535 Pelican to avoid having to deal with the airlines tossing your gear around. You get 12 channels of redundant tracks with the PA1U, 2 lines of redundant low latency vocal processing with a pair of UA Apollo Twins and the Radial Backtrack, 4 MIDI over XLR inputs, 4 MIDI over XLR outputs, 2 RTP MIDI Ports, and a MIDI Host port. The rig is complete with color coded name plates, 2 thunderbolt cables, 4 Female and 4 Male XLR to DIN adapters, a Powercon power strip for laptops, and Powercon to Edison cable. Sometimes a job requires you to rebuild or fix up a rig with current or repurposed parts instead of throwing everything out for something brand new, but that doesn’t mean you can’t build something that’s highly functional and super clean. Here is the new (used) redundant MainStage and MIDI Keyboard Rack for @danaegreenfield for her upcoming tour with @clairo this fall. We repurposed a backup @iconnectivity_interfaces PA12 and backup MIDI4+ to give her 10 possible channels of redundant MainStage keys outputs, 3 MIDI in and 3 MIDI out over XLR channels, RTP MIDI into a 5 port Ethernet switch to connect everything together, USB over 5 pin XLR for a strong sturdy connection, and laptop power over 6 pin XLR so you don’t have any loose cables hanging out and you can’t accidentally plug something into the wrong port. ⚡️ ⚡️ ⚡️ Sometimes used can be just as good as new!

Here’s the new rebuild for @clairo Took the old rig and repurposed all of the old guts into a @circlethreedesigns T-Rack for a carryon sized playback rig. This new design maintains all the same capabilities of the previous rig; 12 channels of redundant playback, 2 channels of vocal processing, 4 MIDI over XLR ins, 4 MIDI over XLR outs, USB to 4 pin XLR, and internal MacBook power, but also added a dual voltage modular power supply, an Ethernet switch, a mini WiFi router, a host port, and two RTP ports on the back panel for MIDI over Ethernet. All this in a much smaller footprint that will fit in an overhead compartment when jetting around the world.

Finished up this fun carryon sized rig last week. This rig consists of a @directout Andiamo with MADI I/O for playback, a pair of @uaudio Apollo Twins routed to a @radialeng backtrack for redundant vocal processing, a @iconnectivity_interfaces MioXM for a variety of different MIDI routing possibilities, Ethernet switch, and a multi voltage power supply for everything but the Andiamo. This all came together in the @circlethreedesigns T-RACK for a compact and carryon sized playback solution.

This rig has it all. 12 Channels of redundant playback with the @iconnectivity_interfaces PA12. 2 channels of redundant vocal processing with a pair of @uaudio Apollo Twins and a @radialeng Backtrack. MIDI over XLR, 2 host ports, and an extensive RTP network with @iconnectivity_interfaces mioXM. 2 118W MacBook power supplies with USB C outputs on the back for whatever computers you’re using. There is also a small wireless router in here for some fun wireless control options. This rack is powered by a multi voltage modular power supply, that has each piece of gear on it’s own power output with the exception of the 5V ethernet hub and 5V wireless router that are daisy chained. ⁣⁣Johnny Five was the first rig I ever built from the ground up. Chris at @circlethreedesigns and I teamed up on this on to add the arms for the laptops to help them stay cool and put them at standing height. We used @iconnectivity_interfaces PA12 and a MIDI4+ for redundant playback and MIDI, @radialeng Catapults for getting MIDI around the stage. This was put together back in 2018, and I’ve learned so much since then.
