A word, Lacrymogranataphilia
Over the course of 18 months, Erik Sémashkin collected tear-gas residue from the remains of Yellow vests protests in Besançon, in Eastern France, where he grew up. Now 20, the young filmmaker is building a body of work inspired by waste and what it reveals. He takes a look back at that buzzing, rather hazy period that sealed his commitment and his obsession with collecting everything.
