First time in London…
As a kid, this was the one place I truly believed I would live. It wasn’t just a dream to me, it felt certain. I even had the opportunity once… and it didn’t happen. And I’m not going to lie, that stayed with me for a long time. It felt like something I was meant for slipped right through my hands.
But when I came to the U.S., I never let that go. I carried it with me… quietly telling myself, “one day, I’ll make it there.”
And now I have.
Walking through London, seeing it with my own eyes, living in that moment… it hit different. It wasn’t just a trip, it was something deeper. A reminder that what’s meant for you doesn’t disappear, it just waits.
I did it. And I’m honestly just grateful I got to experience this.

We closed not just with celebration, but with reflection. We held a moment of silence for Uncle Roy, honoring his life, his impact, and the love that will always remain. His presence was felt, even in the quiet.
This camp wasn’t just about basketball. It was about building confidence, creating opportunity, and planting seeds for something greater.
Over 200 kids. Countless lives touched. A future that looks brighter than ever.

Day 2 at AOA Camp 2026 was powerful in every sense.
We went beyond the game today.
@therealdrjackie poured into the girls, speaking life, confidence, and purpose into each of them. Through the support of the @50shadesofpinkfoundation in partnership with @kotexus , sanitary pads were distributed to our older girls, removing barriers and restoring dignity in a way that truly matters.
On the other side, Coach Curtis Berry stood with the boys and spoke on integrity, discipline, and the kind of character it takes to become not just great athletes, but great men.
This is what AOA is about. Not just basketball—but building lives, shaping minds, and creating opportunities where they’re needed most.
Day 2 reminded us that the impact goes far beyond the court.

Through the support of the 50 Shades of Pink Foundation, in partnership with @50shadesofpinkfoundation@kotexus , sanitary pads were distributed to our older girls, meeting real needs and restoring dignity.
At the same time, Curtis Berry led a powerful session with the boys, speaking on integrity, discipline, and the life skills needed beyond the court.
Moments like this remind us, this camp is about more than the game.
It’s about shaping leaders, building confidence, and pouring into the next generation in ways that last far beyond these few days.

We had the honor of welcoming our special guests, Meredith and Jermaine, in a way that truly reflects who we are. From the moment they arrived, they were greeted with traditional Yoruba drummers, immersed in the culture, and dressed in authentic Yoruba attire—an experience that set the tone for a meaningful day.
On the court, the energy was unmatched. Campers received their gear, stepped into drills, and brought passion, focus, and joy to every moment. You could feel the excitement, the pride, and the hunger to grow.
It was a beautiful blend of culture, community, and purpose—all coming together to create something special.
Day 1 was more than a start. It was a statement.

So grateful for this generous donation of sanitary pads from @kotexus and @kccorp to help support over 100 beautiful young girls in Sango Otta, Nigeria.

AOA Daycare Transformation – Before @aoafoundation Camp 2026
What started as a space in poor condition is now a place filled with life, color, and opportunity.
We took it upon ourselves to fully transform this daycare—refreshing the space with paint, installing green turf inside and out, and creating a vibrant learning environment with alphabet and number visuals across the walls.
But we didn’t stop there.
We furnished the space with chairs and tables, added a TV, fan, DVD player, and educational video content, and installed a solar system to ensure consistent power for learning. Every detail was intentional, built to give these children a better environment to grow, learn, and dream.
This was truly all hands on deck, with the love and support of Dr. Jackie, Curtis Berry, Meredith, Jermaine, and Dr. Green, all coming together to make this vision a reality.
Seeing the children show up in large numbers reminded us exactly why this work matters.
This is bigger than basketball. This is impact.
Camp 2026 begins tomorrow.
