Saturday April 4th at noon at the Berkeley Piano Club, Town Quartet performs music by Fanny Hensel, sharing a program with pianist, Monica Chew, and publisher/musicologist, Molly McCann, AKA Hensel Pushers.Do you like Mendelssohn’s music? His sister was equally gifted, but composed in a much more private capacity, constrained by the social conditions of her time.The heart of the program is her String Quartet, and the piece from which it is derived, her unfinished Piano Sonata.
