We’re raising the bar. This manifesto is a challenge to ourselves, to Tower Hamlets, and to what we’ve been told is possible.
We’re building a fairer, more caring, greener borough where people and the living world can thrive.
Yes, it is ambitious and none of it is unrealistic! The tools exist. The resources exist. The ideas exist.
Let’s make it happen. Swipe to read through ➡️

Go big or go home, that's what happened last week!
I started the campaign in #telegraphhill and finished there, with the election of the incredible @greenparty_kate@beckyfortelegraphhill and @greennicktorry
With my trusty sidekicks from Kent, we did what we could and saw the results.
Greens in London have sown the seeds of hope, which will grow into a forest of Green seats after the next general election.
@zoegarbettgreen and @liamshrivastava were incredible candidates and will make amazing Mayor's.
@areeqchowdhury and @greenhirra this may not have been your time, but it will come.
It was a long wait, but it was worth it… On Saturday, we were the second last ward to announce results in one of the last two boroughs in the whole country, but what a result it was.
Bow East has had three Labour councillors for the last 20 years. We went from third place with 16.9% of the vote to first place with 44.1% of the vote, overturning a 30.4% lead!! We knew our message was resonating with the people of Bow East, but we are honoured with the huge mandate we’ve received. The people of Bow are tired of being taken for granted, it’s time for change.
Now the real work begins, to work hard and deliver for our communities. I’m honoured to be part of a group of five great Green councillors who will focus on delivering for the people of Bow East and Bow West.

Tower Hamlets’ political map is now broadly set for the next four years, and it shows we’ve elected five Green councillors across two wards. But that’s not the full story… @towerhamletsgreens are now the main opposition, and these results show just how close we are to winning many more seats in the years ahead. Are you ready? 🔥
[NOTE: this takes the lowest vote from the elected councillor and subtracts the highest Green vote to get the number of votes needed to win ONE Green councillor in the ward, and inverts this in Bow East and Bow West. However in Bow East and Bow West, we won every single councillor seat, with combined margins of 15.35% and 9.71% respectively over the Labour candidates.]
From the 7am leafletters to the 10pm doorknockers 🚪 to the HQ team handing out maps, food and cups of tea ☕️ to the Fish Islanders who queued to 11pm to vote for us 🤯 to the 11 housemates who were so excited to meet Greens they wanted group pics 📸 to everyone all across Bow East who helped us turn this ward COMPLETELY GREEN, THANK YOU 💚💜💚💜💚💜
Tower Hamlets Green Party are deeply concerned by the election of Abul Monsur. Antisemitism has no place in Tower Hamlets. Abul Monsur should stand down and a by-election called.
Bow West and Bow East have gone entirely Green, and are now represented by five incredible councillors. We look forward to them getting to work, improving life for the people of Bow!
Didn’t manage to catch everyone in the photo… but what a Green team! And not just today’s crew, of course - an amazing effort from so many people over the last few days and weeks and months! And now we have five brilliant new candidates and some stunning vote shares to build on in other wards. Congrats to all of us! 💚
