Touchy Studios is open for the whole weekend, come see us! For the fourth time we are participating in Bermuda Open Studios. This year five of our artists are participating: Jonathan Hielkema, Femke Hoppenbrouwer, Lance Laoyan, Sandipan Nath, and Julia Schmitz. ✨
This weekend is always a lovely way for Touchy to get together, clean the studio, eat together, and visioning our future together. So come have a talk, drink or bite and envision with us.
Bermuda Open Studios’ fifth edition (18–19 April 2026) presents over 140 artist studios and 3 group shows in 22 locations throughout the city of The Hague.
The 2026 edition is organized by Hein Eberson, Jonathan Hielkema, Cathleen Owens, Ariane Toussaint and Hanae Wilke. Visual Identity by Carmen Dusmet Carrasco. This event is supported by Stroom Den Haag.

On behalf of the master Non Linear Narrative Jonathan Hielkema from Touchy Studios has followed a number of graduates to tackle the question “What do alums from the master programme Non Linear Narrative do after their studies?”. In this new video we get to know Lisette Alberti, a writer and researcher whose work explores the politics of history and memory. Lisette is a NLN graduate of cohort 2021–2023 and particularly interested in the visual and performative nature of politics.

Three of our Touchy members are part of “All You Can Eat” a @dutchdesignweek exhibition that takes a sharp (and tasty) look at overconsumption, conformity, and the myth of “unlimited.”
Curated by @femke__h together with @fedoraboonaert & @nexaslin , the show serves design with a side of self-reflection: right at Eindhoven Central Station.
Last night marked a small but meaningful change for Touchy Studios! 👋 Carmen and Lance are leaving our physical studio in The Hague - Carmen is heading back to Spain, and Lance is moving to Rotterdam. While they won’t be here with us day to day, they’re still very much part of the Touchy collective, and we’ll keep working together on projects like always.
The studio here will feel a bit emptier, but also more open, more space for those of us staying: Elena, Femke, Jonathan, Julia, Sandipan, and Sean.
There’s a lot to look forward to - a group show we are working on in Amsterdam, new jobs with exciting clients, and of course, our upcoming 10-year anniversary show, which will be all about beauty.
To Carmen and Lance/ thank you for everything you’ve brought to this space. 🥹

For our sisters from @gierboooy , we’ve edited another video clip. Of course, we couldn’t resist helping them out with their new track, made to get the party started just in time for Carnival in Brabant. 🔪🩸🐓
This time, no sun-soaked Italian backdrops-just pure Dutch vibes, right in front of a bar wall in Scheveningen. But hey, that didn’t stop them from bringing the energy, nor did it stop us from diving deep into the Dutch archives, uncovering ancient, grainy footage of Carnival long past. Faces frozen in time, masks grinning into the void-tradition lurching forward, refusing to die.
