As Jessie Diggins races her final World Cup, we're bringing her story to the big screen.
THRESHOLD — 3 nights only at The Palace Theater in Lake Placid. A story of vulnerability, recovery, and what it takes to be the greatest American cross-country skier of all time.
Fri & Sat screenings include a live Q&A with directors Torsten and Lars Brinkema, who spent a year on the road with the US Ski Team to capture this story.

Feels pretty surreal arriving at this day after 3 years of work. I have so many people to thank, but of course none more than Jessie… thank you for trusting Lars and I with your story. thank you for being so vulnerable, honest, and caring. thank you for your willingness to bring such a rollercoaster of a year to the big screen. thank you for being you!
I remember showing an early cut of the film to you, and after some tears and hugs, you told us “this is the story my 18 year old self desperately needed to hear.” Those words carried Lars and I through all of post production, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to have an impact— whether its someone that’s struggling with an eating disorder, mental health, or just needs a little more hope and community in their life.
Threshold has been a true labor of love, and I’m so proud to share it with the world.

Feeling super lucky to witness this team in full swing, behind the camera. The energy of the races out here is inspiring to say the least.
Two Holmenkollen 50ks with a sea people cheering and partying in the woods, and fresh snow for a sunny Drammen city sprint.
A little excerpt from an ongoing large format study called Places We Once Called Home. I made a 4”x10” plywood slider that fit in to the back of @intrepidcamera ’s large format camera, blocking out half of the negative and allowing me to get two exposures per sheet of film.
A collection of shots and experiences that have taken me from the rocky Portuguese coastline to frigid snow in Northern Québec, a helicopter above pristine salmon fishing on Kodiak Island, the artists hustle in my home town of Minneapolis, and so much in between. I’m so grateful for the people that join me on these journeys, and the lands that I am privileged to explore. Plenty of future projects in the works. Oh, and instagram doesn’t go widescreen anymore so flip that shit!
Cheers, Torsten.

Soaking in every fleeting moment of this season and team that I get to call family. But trust me... @colbynordic just getting started.
