tonight I performed with the talented (and lovely) @tomwstep at @cablecafeuk in Oval! Here’s a snippet of the gig on the tune “teach me tonight”
I always love playing with Tom-we have a good synergy and he always listens and catches me vocally. I always feel safe to play and explore when we’re working together :)
Can you notice it here how we are communicating as we both decide the key is too low for me in the start of the tune, and Tom changes it so I can move around the melody with more ease! 🥰
Notable versions of this tune for me are Dinah Washington and Amy Winehouse - go listen 👂
