Back in 2018, at the now closed Red Gallery in Shoreditch, I was watching Ama Lou perform to a half empty room. I looked to my left and saw @sampha was standing beside me by himself. So I thought I’d ask him for some advice on singing and he said “I’ve never had a singing lesson in my life. Worrying about your voice will paralyse you. Just sing from your heart.” 🙏🏾
