MOBO showed up and showed out.
Looking back, it was powerful to see the MOBO Awards taken to the streets, the skyline and beyond.
Appreciation to @amazonmusicuk for helping bring it to life… this is what 30 years of culture looks like 🔥🤩🙌🏾

WE DID IT. 30 YEARS OF MOBO. ✨
What a moment.
After months (and decades) of work, we pulled out all the stops to create a show that I truly believe will live on for years to come.
Because MOBO was never just about celebrating culture — it was about making sure the talent driving it is seen, valued, and invested in.
I feel incredibly proud that we were able to showcase the true brilliance of a diverse array of talent on the stage.
My father was a proud African man who believed deeply that Black culture deserved to be appreciated and respected. When he came to this country, he struggled to find work — but he never lost that belief.
This moment, this show, is dedicated to my parents, who gave so much to this country and whose strength and sacrifice made my journey possible.
There were times when the support didn’t match the scale of what we were building when we were punching far above our weight.
But we kept going. We kept building. We kept believing.
And now, to see the impact… the global reach… the doors opened for so many —
it’s something I don’t take lightly. It’s deeply humbling.
This video captures a few behind-the-scenes moments with me ❤️
Thank you to every artist, every team member, every supporter who has been part of this movement.
And huge appreciation to the partners who backed us and helped make this historic moment possible:

Special thank you to the incredible designers @amoraimani and @sina.krisina for the blue dress featuring kente cloth — and if you look closely, the last gold dress she tailored to include the MOBO lettering ✨
I always come back to @kurtgeiger — the shoes never miss.
This is more than a moment.
This is legacy.

Beyond the performances and celebration, the MOBO Awards felt like a reminder of how vital it is for women in art and business to continue supporting one another.
One of the most meaningful parts of the evening was connecting with so many inspiring women and sharing conversations around community, visibility, and opportunity. For women from different backgrounds, these spaces are so important. They allow people to be seen, valued, and supported in ways that can have a lasting impact.
Olivia Dean’s dedication to bell hooks and the Black feminist voices that informed her understanding of love and community expressed this so beautifully. It was a reminder that creativity is shaped not only by talent, but by connection, generosity, and shared support.
