After returning and processing this last weeknd in Kyiv. i’ve realised it has been one of my favourite clubbing experiences ever. @k41ua is something else. What a design. 🤯 The crowd, the crew. Still not really able to put down in words what happend last weekend, all i know is that my vibes are still buzzing on what happened there. Just another day in Kyiv. A day filled with laughter, joy, amazing food, jokes, new friends and beautiful architecture. Just another day….until the air alert goes on, and realise this country is still at war. All people i’ve met are still fighting for freedom. Every single day. Kyiv is a city that holds more then 3 million people. It also has a night clock. At 12. Because of the dead threath shooting thru the skies at night. I am very toutched by this experience of this unnatuaral coexistence of beauty and pain. Thankfull to make long deep travels that leave a meaningfull impact on me. Thankfull to the K41 crew / Courtyard. Respect to @alinkatwirl and all the residents on how they have been fighting this war with music and positve energy. Tomorrow means al lot, when life is so fragile. Hope to see all my Ukranian friends at once. Alongside @callherksena & @shults.sashaa . Her set will start with mid-tempo tracks and gradually build in rhythm, shaping a sensual and dreamy opening of the event. We’re happy to welcome back selector Shults.Sashaa (he/him)—co-owner of the vinyl store Octan and Closer resident. The evening will close artist from the Netherlands Tom Trago (he/him), founder of the Voyage Direct label. 20 years of musical experience have shaped his unique house sound, which can regularly be heard on NTS, Radio Radio, BBC Radio and EchoBox, and this saturday—for the first time at Backyard. Tom Trago rewired his entire process for his new album, Ignorance. Created in rural France without a phone signal or a full studio, the project trades house for raw electro and intentional isolation. By limiting his tools to just a few essential machines, Trago found a deeper, more instinctive sound inspired by Dutch heritage and industrial legends like Kraftwerk and Drexciya. It’s a masterclass in achieving clarity through subtraction and trusting the initial creative impulse.
