133kg / 293lb. Heaviest snatch of my life in front of the home crowd!!
Pittsburgh was epic. It was one of the most challenging and fun competitions I've done. I lifted with 8 of the best lifters in the country and had about 10 minutes to work up to 90% before being called for my first snatch. I missed a few warm ups in the back amid the chaos but smashed my last one before going out and having my first 3/3 snatch day in a National competition.
Clean and jerks went alright. I managed to put 154 overhead even though I was feeling dizzy after the clean and had to dance to save it. Unfortunately it was ruled a press out. I smoked 155 on my second attempt, which I've made twice this year in comp but not recently in National comp. I fought my way through a 160 clean for my third attempt and gave it my all but wasn't able to get it overhead this time.
My best competition lifts before this meet were 132/160 from the American Open in 2021. Last year I was 10 kilos off in both lifts. This year was different. I'm the strongest I've ever been both physically and mentally. Beating my best snatch was my priority the first half of the year. Next up is CJ and total.
Thank you DJ and Russell for coaching me and helping out in the back. You guys helped me stay calm and adapt to everything the comp threw our way. Thank you to all my friends and family in Pittsburgh for coming out to support and cheer me on. You helped me find the courage to give everything on the platform. Lastly to all the people that have sent me words of encouragement. I greatly appreciate you and read every message

So thrilled to have @tommybednar work with me and make this skill from Inlocate to hand to hand to one arm smooth. One day I hope to do a straight Inlocate to one arm
