One of the top 5 Advertising Organization in the World had their NOW CONFERENCE in Nigeria some days ago and I was the MC. The conference was a 3 days long event with Delegates from all parts of The continent. I enjoyed engaging the crowd& making them feel welcomed to the country whilst celebrating their country & the common humanity we share as one human race and as Africans. This event was so beautiful for me, cos whilst working and trying to celebrate the delegates from South Africa, I burst into singing the South African anthem and you could the pleasant surprise on their faces. My job is fun, whether as an actor or an Mc, I get to draw knowledge from residual register from things I have done before. I learned the South African anthem whilst playing in the stage adaptation of SARAFINA by a colleague at the University of Ibadan in 2009 when I was a student. It has remained clear in my head.
Other days I am working with doctors and I have to go research about their work. But ultimately, a smart Mc must read, must travel, must journal, must be interested in going further to deliver the brief. I am The Amazing Tomiwa Sage.
