Episode 25
Your mom’s instincts made you question if she had spiritual CCTV.
There’s something about an African mother’s instinct that humbles you.
She may sound strict, but sometimes that strictness is love trying to protect you.
Some mothers don’t say “I love you” directly, they say “be careful” every day.
Growing up is realizing your mother’s warnings often came from care, not fear.

There’s a different kind of beauty in being seen, heard, and reminded that you matter. 🌸
Last year, we visited a school for children with special needs, and what we thought would simply be an outreach became a deeply touching reminder that dignity, confidence, and dreams belong to every girl.
Through interpreters, shared smiles, laughter, and attentive eyes, we spoke about self-awareness, dignity, and the power they carry within themselves. We reminded them that their abilities are beyond limitations society may try to place on them.
We also had conversations on menstrual health, teaching them how to safely use reusable pads and helping them understand that their periods should never stop them from learning, growing, or showing up confidently in the world.
Honestly, the brilliance in that room was unforgettable.
The excitement.
The confidence.
The joy of being included.
It reminded us again that dignity cuts across ALL girls regardless of ability, background, or circumstance.
But there are still hundreds of girls waiting to be reached.
Through our Pad 500 Girls Project, we are working to provide menstrual health education and reusable pads to girls who need them most, ensuring that no girl misses school or loses confidence because of her period.
Your support helps us go farther.
Your donation helps another girl feel seen.
Your contribution helps protect dignity.
Together, we can reach more girls, one conversation, one pad, and one life at a time. 💜
