We sadly had to say goodbye to our little girl Kathryn today. She has been struggling with numerous health issues which peaked at the end of October. She fought hard to comeback but a subsequent lymphoma diagnosis pushed things over the edge. As we watched her appetite decrease again and how lethargic she was, we made the tough choice to say goodbye.
I love her so much. I’ve often described her as my soul cat. We truly had to earn her love and she had so much personality. After being with her for almost 9 years, it’s hard to be at home without her.
She had a great last day yesterday. Snoozes by the fireplace, hissed at another cat outside, @dailyscott made her a salmon fillet, and all the other treats she loves. We brought our mattress downstairs so we could all sleep together one last time near the fire.
I’m going to miss her chirps, purrs, and snores. I’m going to miss her sleeping against my legs. I’m really going to miss head boops. She was perfect to me and I’m going to miss everything about her.
I love you Kathryn.
🇲🇽 What a fantastic trip. Lots of amazing time with friends, late nights, meeting new people, and a lingering sunburn. And lots of selfies obviously. Coming back tired but refreshed and feeling that my cup is full in the best way possible. Looking forward to the next one! ❤️

Turns out Easter is a big deal in Málaga… all trains and buses today were 100% sold out. Which led to Scott and I having an impromptu drive through the Spanish countryside to get to Madrid instead 🚗
