A digital platform that showcases themes of adaptation and resilience developed throughout the Digital Ecosystems course at the Master Beyond Branding by @folchstudio and @elisava.school
Foreign Roots draws parallels between resilient plants that thrive in unexpected places and the experiences of immigrants who resist, survive, or adapt to life in Barcelona. The platform’s navigation mimics the experience of walking through the city, allowing users to discover resilient plants while exploring stories of immigrants through non-linear and intuitive navigation elements.

Digital Ecosystems develops a new understanding of what constitutes a digital space. The course teaches to define and design an online experience adapted to the current times as well as to create a broad network of digitally interconnected elements.

I’ve been questioning lately on what builds a self identity. The self is in constant change and transformation. What we call it self, it is actually just a sense, an idea.

Identity is a fusion of complex informations and experiences. We have to recognize that the self is multiple, and it’s very limiting to identify it as one singular thing.

Is it possible to imagine different design systems for identities? Systems that encorporate change? How they would look like?
