Just goes to show there is a route into the pro peloton from Nat B racing.

If I remember rightly theres a video somewhere of me taking a wrong turn (I was a cold, wet shell that day). Too early for me to start racing these days, gotta get this old body in some sort of shape first.

Since my crash, I've gone through the ups and downs of trying to get back to some racing form ahead of #vueltamallorcamasters, battling my body as it recovered, and the doubts about whether I could, or even wanted to still mix it at the front of a race. Turned out that the desire was there, and the condition was good enough to animate the races in Mallorca, even if I wasn't at my peak best. No results to speak of, but enough morale to take into another season. Couldn't do it without the support of my beautiful family though, who have supported my through the pain and the frustrations of the last 6 months ❤️.

10 days ago was driven into going round a roundabout. Driver didn't look before accelerating out from the junction, and into the back/side of me. Somehow I managed to walk (hobble) away from the scene with only heavy bruising to my back/coccyx, although standing/sitting/walking/lying down are all painful.

Helmet certainly prevented any serious head damage. The bike is clearly a write off, hoping the insurance does its job this week.

Thanks to all the people who stopped on the roadside to help, the police and paramedic who gave me the once over, and most importantly @hayleymarie701 and my incredible family for their support (I've been a miserable git this week). Stay safe out there kids

After 4 years and 3 colour changes, it's time to bid a fond farewell to @stolengoatraceteam . It's been amazing to be part of a setup that has fairly selflessly developed a crop of riders who go from strength to strength. I've not had a bad run in the jersey - a European Masters jersey, a European silver, a World silver on the track and 4 more National silver medals.

A big shout needs to go to el jefe Jodders @sojodrell . I joined the team on the basis of a friendship that started in Mallorca in 2018, and the way he has developed the team into what it is now deserves massive credit. From spotting rough diamonds and turning them into gems; giving a race programme in the UK and abroad; being commercially very savvy whilst being unfalteringly fair are all things I know others look at in envy, and I think at times others would do well to ask what he's doing so well. He's also a top bloke and can still do a decent sprint now and then 😉🫡

For me, I'm not done yet, will just be in a different flavour jersey next year....
