I first got my start emceeing when I was invited to host a relative's "#debut." In Filipino culture, a "debut" is an #18th birthday celebration that "debuts" a young Filipina into adulthood, similar to a #quinceanera or a #sweet16. Being a natural on the microphone and in front of audiences, I agreed to do it. It was such a success! Guests were amazed at the vocal energy and physical presence I brought to hosting. The trivia games I planned engaged the crowd between programmed performances, and the flow and attention to detail were seamless.

Since then I have had the opportunity to add more events under my belt as an MC. Having done other debuts, #birthdays, and even a wedding #anniversary, I'm excited to share my skills and expertise with your event.

every now and then you are surprised by what life throws your way. last week life threw at me an opportunity to sink my teeth into a new play in development by the amazing Amy Quan Barry.
It was my first time in the MidWest, and while getting to travel to make art is already dream, it was all the more inspiring to do so in the historic home and arts foundation created Broadway legends Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne. Thanks to the wonderful support and care from @tenchimneysfoundation , Randy Bryant, and their kind, hardworking team, me and my fellow artists - @msjliu@emilysongtyler@jessicajko and @itspaolomontalban - were given the space and resources to create impactful theatre.
I can’t geek out about this enough. An all Asian American cast? A chance to rotate between different characterizations, dialects, and languages? Being surrounded by the lush beauty of the Land of Lakes? And I saw fireflies!
