There are many days when I get tired of the artist doc thing. It’s true. On these days, I worry about being pigeonholed, or that I’m repeating myself, or that I’m just celebrating the work of more accomplished artists.
But a recent book (“The Work of Art” by legendary NY Mag editor Adam Moss) and exhibition (“Life Dances On: Robert Frank in Dialogue at MoMA) reminded me of the benefits of collaborating with - and learning from - every artist I talk to, regardless of medium.
