*******UPDATE*******
The Spencer family wants to begin by saying thank you. The outpouring of love, prayers, and support has been overwhelming in the best way, and we are truly grateful to every single person who has shown up for Tenoa. Whether you’ve donated, shared his story, or simply kept him in your thoughts—please know it means more than we can fully express.
We also want to continue being fully transparent about where things stand. Since being discharged, Tenoa is still facing a difficult and uncertain road. His lungs are still healing, and he remains in constant, severe pain due to complications with his spine—pain that affects him every second of every day. He is now preparing for spinal surgery in the very near future.
On top of that, his diabetes remains unstable, likely worsened by multiple infections that were only recently discovered. These infections are not only dangerous on their own, but they are also putting additional strain on his body, including his kidneys. As previously shared, he has been diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease, making every complication more serious and harder to manage.
This has become a complex and ongoing medical battle—one that continues to evolve with new diagnoses and challenges that feel never-ending. Tenoa is doing everything he can to fight through this, but he cannot do it alone.
To be fully transparent, the financial burden is significant and immediate. Just to address the current infections, we are facing over $57,000 in out-of-pocket medical costs. We are actively exploring every available resource, assistance program, and option—but the reality is, we still need help.
If you are able to continue supporting—whether through a donation, sharing this fundraiser, or offering resources or guidance—it would make a meaningful difference in Tenoa’s fight. Every contribution brings us one step closer to easing this burden and allowing him to focus on what matters most: healing and recovery.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with Tenoa and our family during this incredibly difficult time.
