Comment:
The @uniofqld decision to crash its own much awarded press under the guise of action to stamp out 'antisemitism' in no way aligns with the University's stated vision of 'knowledge leadership for a better world.'
Since UQ is a university (one of the top 50 we're told), it, of course, holds some of the most antisemitic, holocaust denying, hate-filled horrors ever written in its excellent library collection where the books and articles and speeches are freely available for all. Illustrator Matt Chun's other books are there too. This is as it should be because UQ is supposed to be a champion of free speech, providing knowledge leadership for a better world.
A school of humanities - no less - demanding that one book and one book alone should be pulped is a disconcerting and hypocritical act when the university's collections include the work of Hitler himself - a work, I might add, that has never been out of print.
Please, feel free to search UQ's online catalogue yourself.

Gotta do the legal deposit copy for @statelibraryqld especially since I learned how to do lasercutting at The Edge and @debmostertartist sketches were done @qldmuseum

Mighty lucky to have shared a gallery space with these gorgeous artists over the past week. Thanks for these treasures and to @booklinksqldinc volunteers who make the whole exhibition happen❤️
A little look at my cozy bit of the gallery.
Thanks to all who've come along so far.
The show will be open til 19 April when Shakespeare takes over the gardens!

One of three little peace collectors in the #StoryArts exhibition at Richard Randall Art Studio in Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens.
It's a gorgeous little gallery in a wonderful public gardens, so feel free to wander through and go for an even bigger wander - I love the Bonsai House - and the Plant and Floral Fair is also on in the Auditorium.
