Voor deze versie kortte ik de top met 8,4 cm in, precies één “bolling” van het patroon. Op de Tulip Pants vond ik een kortere top nét wat mooier uitkomen 🤍
De stof is een prachtige 100% katoenen kwaliteit die ik scoorde op het Stoffenspektakel 🧵

Happy Release Day to the Tulip Pants! I always love testing for @tinyfolkpatterns . The hem of these pants are so cute I couldn’t resist! I added some top stitching to highlight the design lines and I love the result.
I used some @cottonandsteel canvas I got from @sewtopia . I love anything strawberry print because it reminds me of my grandpa, and this is no exception. The selvage of the fabric had the words “queen of berries” so I added it as a fun label on the side.

It includes a front button placket, patch pockets, and a neatly finished neckline.
You can add an inseam placket for easy diaper changes and dressing, or you can go for a simpler version without it.

I’m looking for testers for the new Acorn Jumpsuit! It’s designed with a relaxed fit for plenty of room to move, covering sizes from 0-3 months all the way up to 5-6 years. For the tiny ones, the pattern includes snap closures to make changes easy.
In this Reel, you’re seeing the version with snaps, but the standard version is incredibly straightforward and a very quick sew if you’re looking for a satisfying project.

Filming the new jumpsuit today! I’ve decided to swap the square pockets for rounded ones, they just look so much sweeter.
I’m also merging the button placket into the front piece to make cutting and sewing way faster, plus a super easy neck binding hack for beginners.
So, starting tomorrow, I’m jumping back into pattern drafting and I’ll film the new process for you.

I used to spend hours cutting and taping sewing patterns. Now, I take a shortcut and I just overlap the pages and align the borders. It is so much faster! And even if the printing is a bit crooked, as long as the lines and circles match up, you are good to go. ✂️
This new pattern is inspired by one of my very first designs, the Explorer jumpsuit, but with a much simpler construction and a better fit.
I’m having a hard time choosing the fabric, though. Should I go with classic linen or warm corduroy? What would you choose?
