Today is my birthday and I'm very grateful for many things. My wife, family, friends, health, collaborators and jobs. It's been a decade since I started my journey into filmmaking and there have been a lot of ups and downs but I hope to continue forward and want to thank everyone who has supported me in this process and am excited to share more moments with everyone moving forward. A film that I had the pleasure of producing with my good friend Ben, titled "The Sleight" has just made it into its first film festival @midwestfilm . It's our second official short film under our production company "54 Scripts Productions." I served as the Director of Photography on this and I consider it some of my best work since making the switch into this role and I want to thank my friend Ben and my crew on this project for helping me make some great images for this wild film. The film will be playing Monday March 27th, 2023 at legendary @filmcenter in Chicago, IL. It'll be Ben and I's second film that plays there after our very first, Yellow Polka Dot. Where there's a will, there's a way. "Plowed" our 4th film as a company takes place entirely in a car during a snow storm. At 19 minutes and 40 seconds, it is the second longest of our films, but shot entirely in one night, in a warehouse, with industrial fans, an industrial snow machine, with a 2 camera set up. It is the hardest film we've made to this point, but with proper planning, a great cast and crew, and quick on our feet decisions, the film not only got shot and finished, but is a great/funny/dramatic little film.
