Old, cold, still gold. Down the beach a few years back⚡️ Maybe my favourite surf photo ever, can’t remember the day exactly but I used to drive from uni the second I finished (or sometimes a little earlier...) calling @indaskys on the way “yeah mate today’s definitely THE day no doubt” and he’d always be keen to shoot. Then round up some of the best mates and start the trek down the beach. We got skunked a bunch but struck diamonds other times, one wave like this and you’d be grinning for days. I miss those days and the people I shared them with❤️

First n last music stuff here - going to spam y’all and live up to a dubious reputation as a @bad.acta 👀 Is it a bit douchey to make a dj page? Maybe. Is it a bit suspect to even try to be a dj today? Like, definitely, totally, undeniably yes. Is it one of the funnest & most gratifying things to play your favourite tunes and be surrounded by some of your favourite people - and see em grooving? 100% yes. Hit me up to play your aunties wedding if you want to really disappoint your auntie but make your cousins love you. Pics by @tonaa_fotografie from a special little villa party late last year🌴

Stoked to be able to share some learnings and inspiration from the @sealandgear story at Sustainability Week Africa, talking enablers, policy and strategy for Africa’s circular economy! Big thanks to @theeconomist @economistimpact for hosting such a phenomenal event, and @virgin for a beautiful preconference day out with some of Africa’s finest💙

Fun for the whole family💕 Ask these 3 questions of your fishy meal: what is the species, where was it caught and how was it caught? Green-listed species caught locally with low-impact (super targeted) methods are always better than species under lots of pressure, caught far away and with broad techniques and heaps of by-catch. A bit of nuance: bottom trawling is the real evil here - trawler fishing for short-lives species low on the food chain (anchovies, sardines etc) can be somewhat sustainable as these are more resilient than your apex species. Most farmed fish sucks. Last thought - abandoned fishing gear continues ghost fishing for decades. Support organisations finding alternative, solid end-of-life solutions for this gear.
