we had the absolute privilege to attend the @bigloud christmas party this year after our very own @timlightyear ’s first year with @bigloudtexas . there is one particular moment that is replaying in our minds over and over again. you know when someone says the exact thing you needed to hear right when you needed to hear it most? craig wiseman, the founder of the label, said (in a way more beautiful way) that we all should appreciate where we’re at right now. stop focusing on where you want to be and everything you don’t have. being an artist is not the easy path in life and a lot of the time everything kind of sucks. you have to play the shitty gig and get the shitty paychecks. people around you seem to have it all figured out and you’re still betting on the “big break”. but one day when you make the hit song or you book THE show or your bank account stays in the green, those moments aren’t the ones you talk about. you talk about the days you had to survive to get there. we made a studio out of a sun room in the midst of a worldwide pandemic. we worked for pennies. we struggled to make all the ends meet. we definitely feel like we’re still in the struggle most days, but holy shit - we have our own studio? and people come to our home and trust us with their art like almost every single day?? to reflect on how far we’ve come and how much of our dream we’ve made a reality in such a short time really makes ya feel good. and makes you want to keep on dreaming, working, and counting all of your blessings. so yeah, things have been chaotic and messy, but one day we’ll be sitting in our fully complete studio with hundreds of projects under our belts missing the days of backyard sessions with hot chocolate and chairs we had to borrow from the neighbors, two little boys running around the studio playing their hearts out on the drums, and team meetings around the dining room table trying to figure out how to pay all of the bills. it’s all worth the fight and we are blessed as hell.

feels like a good time to say thank you. thank you to all of the cosmic mama friends and family who have trusted us with their most prized possession - their art. everyone who walks through our door has treated our studio, home, and family with so much respect. thank you from the bottom of our hearts for loving us and supporting us while we build this community from the ground up. we’ve put all of our blood, sweat, tears, and alani energy drinks into this place and everyone has only shown us grace. it really is a dream come true and we can’t wait to see what magic 2026 holds.

Make My Way To You has to be one of my favorite projects to have worked on. It took 4 or 5 different days of shooting to get what we really wanted out of this.
