Hello & welcome, new followers! 👋 Firstly, thanks for checking out little old me 🥰 Let me introduce myself... I’m Tim Lichfield, a multi-award-winning magician, Member of The Magic Circle, professional event host, and radio presenter (yes, I do have a “face for radio” too 🎙️). Based in North Yorkshire, I specialise in close-up magic for weddings and corporate events; the kind of magic that happens right under your nose and leaves guests questioning reality (and their eyesight). Alongside the magic, I also host events, awards nights, and live shows, keeping things running smoothly, the energy high, and the awkward gaps firmly banished. ⭐️ BGT 2023 ❌ I was asked to audition for @bgt a couple of years ago, but decided it wasn't the right time. At the end of last year, I was approached again and thought, "why not?!" My audition took place in February @the_lowry in Manchester. In the lead up to the audition, I had the honour of working with Russ Stevens who helped me hone the performance ready for the main judges. My act was a tribute to H.M. Queen Elizabeth II, who of course we lost at the end of 2022. During the process, the production crew were nothing but helpful and supportive and made me feel confident. Even on the day of the audition, everyone was so friendly and helpful. During the audition, Simon shuffled the cards a little longer than he should've (the act was timed to music). One guy in the audience shouted out, "come on, we want to go home!!" which made Simon and the audience laugh; but even these didn't put me off my stride and I managed to get through the whole act. I received FOUR yeses!! Simon said, "It was magical" and "perfect for the show"; Bruno had great reactions, Amanda said I was a great storyteller and Alesha said I was 'a nice boy' 😊 BGT started screening auditions a few weeks' back and I did hope to appear on the show at some point - Even if it was just a montage or a very short clip, but you're never guaranteed. That's TV at the end of the day 🤷🏼‍♂️ Unfortunately, I didn't make any appearance on the show, which is a shame after all the effort, time and money invested into the performance. However, I can NEVER take away the experience, which I am so grateful for. I loved it. I love performing and this will always be a highlight for me. I've always said, take EVERY opportunity, no matter what the outcome.
