What a way to turn 20 again🙂!! We can’t begin to express the gratitude we feel for everyone who came through to celebrate on Friday night and made it unforgettable. We saw so many faces from the pre-pandemic party era mixed with folks who were coming to TIMEKODE for their first time. Genres and generations were connecting, and not just on the decks!! There is a lot to reflect on in terms of what it means to have this kind of continuity in nightlife and appreciation to express to all the folks who played a role in building this legacy, so the post-party pod is dropping soon with some insights into the madness behind the scenes, the teamwork that made the dream work, and a longer list of people to thank. This post marks the end of Memetic Media / @timekode 's residency at @artengine ! As I transitioned out of institutional work an into doing my own thing full time in 2025, determining the shape and discipline of that thing required a bit of time and space to quietly work some ideas, test the marketplace, develop some new skills and build a new team /structures. Without the collective residency opportunity it would be hard to imagine how all of that would have happened! TK ❤️ AE longtime, and we're glad to be passing goodness / key over to @apt613 !! On the personal tip, in addition to building up the TK collective I took more time developing my craft(s) as a musician, and making the leap from from watching-to-doing as a video artist, than I have since probably high school which produced some surprising things and an evolved practice, and a sense of what the business around that practice could look like. Grateful! So what's next? The spring-summer TK season launches next week! And this weekend marks the beginning of my new studio channel! I've learned from going down deep rabbit holes and watching people i respect back slowly away, that there is a place to nerd out on the details of your craft/work, and it's not on this page. I'll still sprinkle sporadic bits here, but I'll be continuing / showcasing the work from the residency at my new studio channel(s) MEMEPLEX VISION ( @mplx.vzn ) across instagram, youtube and tiktok - and maybe other places!  Catch me outside tomorrow at @FONO613 where I'll be blessing the turntables DJing all night AND blessing the screen / walls VJing for the great @nick___schofield presentation of Blue Hour!! #time #space #gratitude #residency #collective #growth
