8bit/pixel experimentation, and playing with a SD 1.5 pixel model workflow. It's interesting how low denoise values only work on images than videos.

Daydream
Hey there, it's been a minute. Finally been able to find sometime to create this for @charles_ban lol. That being said, the composition of the original video was really interesting, couldn't resist trying some stuff out! 🤓
Experimenting with new masking, rendering techniques, AnimateDiff and IPAdapters with this one, as well as upscaling tests. Throughout this whole process though I've wondered if I could have done more. How much is too much before you start losing the essence of the concept? Something to ponder about for future ideas. 🤔

With a whole host of life milestones blasting into my general direction, I've found very little time to experiment/play with SD. The past few months has just been settling administrative/financial stuff, consulting and sourcing for interior designers, while creating a 3D model to plan room layouts, themes and the likes.
Unfortunately though, the 3D program (Sweethome3d) I use doesn't have a very intuitive user interface, and I wanted to quickly churn out some moods and variations of textures for the overall look.
That's where SD came back into the picture.😂
Pre-rendered some images of the rooms I wanted to transform with Sweethome, and tossed them into a comfy workflow (lineart Controlnets and low denoise were a godsend here) and I've been able to generate some interesting concepts!

I've always known @a.dat.hannan to be that eccentric, chapalang, never-running-out-of-energy, multi-disciplinary and funky dancer. Also that one hype-man everyone needs - He makes you feel good about your dance even you doubt it.
This is a revisit of a video from last year. Experimenting with even more layers and effects to make the colors pop. Also trying a different rendering technique for smoother animations.
Really inspired after having my works screened at a private event a few weeks ago. The validation peaked when I heard people's reactions for the first time 🥹

I remember the first time seeing @thousaidwhat compete in Wei An's Paradigm Shift 2017 edition (or was it 2016?) and then again during Nic Chung's Open Concept battle. The way he moved screamed "contemporary", but he still masterfully combined his form with tutting angles that no traditional popper would think of. Ever since then I've quietly held alot of respect and regard for his craft. The following more recent overnight sessions with him just solidified that further.
The AI FX process for this was simple as compared to my other, more complex workflows - ControlNet, IPAdapter, Oneformer COCO. However the most difficult so far, a challenge that I took on anyway. How does one make lines and angles in tuts look good when the AI model tends to interpret them into other shapes and forms? It didn't help that the video quality blurred alot of nitty gritty details as well.
Honestly I still haven't figured it out, but I tried to bring it out with specific prompts with high contrast and grayscale-ish effects. Here's my attempt at that. Hopefully in time and with better hardware I could revisit this.

2 controlnets, and it already took nearly 10 minutes to render a short 3 second video at 576x1024. Truth be toldmy current 3060TI is very minimal for this use case. A GPU upgrade is in order.
Talk about an expensive hobby indeed.
What do dreams look like to you?
In my mind, I get transported to a world of endless possibilities. A dream-like state, or a "twilight zone" (coined by OG Flattop).
Had a wonderful opportunity to work and chat with Charles over the week. He did the filming and editing while I did my usual AI thing. We both didn't have much expectations from the outcome and kept things simple, but it resulted in a wholesome creation!
