Feeling incredibly blessed and humbled this year— mad mad mad mad. Last year, I didn’t meet the high expectation I had set for myself. This year, I decided to shift my mindset to simply focus on myself, my craft. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t aim to qualify, but that’s about it. Grateful to have qualified once again and made Top 8. Being able to share the floor with so many talented specialists who continue to push this form forward is always such a privilege. 3 for 3, round 4 next year aim for Top 4? Thank you to everyone who showed me love before and after the battles, whether it was in person or through messages online. Being in a different country where our first languages are different from each other, but still speaking the same movement language is even better. Osaka, you truly were something else @sacred_dimension_ really showed me so many amazing things— the creativity, control, and concepts were on another level. Honestly came just to learn, get inspired and experience from the whole thing and somehow got blessed to have qualified Top 16 for All Finger Styles (shoutout to @khooi.hoodi for the push <3) and Top 8 for Object Manipulation (against Graphic on both rounds 😭) I’ll say it once and I’ll say it again, in my mind, qualifying at the level of this year’s standard is mad. Thank you @__graphic.official__ for the exchanges! What made this even more special was seeing people from all around the world come together for something so niche, yet so deeply loved. Grateful for all the connections, conversations, and shared passion. Huge thank you to the organizers @_shaype_ , @ryoga_xtrap & @nari.digitz for putting together such an incredible event. One year since the last overnight session— oh how so many things have changed. From solidifying my ‘movement identity’ even harder to new movement choices and ideas to just chilling and let the body take over to decide what to do. Can’t wait to see how things will change (dance wise) in a year for me.

“The universe will remove things that are not meant for you” Don’t have a video of me bowing on stage this year to wrap it up but oh well. 2025 — what a rollercoaster I gained time. I gained freedom. I gained new bonds with so many new people from around the globe. I found space to breathe, reflect, and realign with myself. I conquered my fear of letting go & flying solo For the first time, I’m 100% comfortable in my craft. Comfortable enough to say what kind of dancer am I and stand firmly in it without second guessing myself. And in the middle of all the uncertainty, something beautiful happened; things started to look better. There were days filled with doubt, heaviness, and uncertainty. Days where I questioned my decisions and wondered if I had made a mistake walking away from what was familiar and safe. Not everything this year was pretty — and that truth deserves space. Before 2025 event started, from December to the first quarter of the year, I realised I wasn’t just tired or burnt out — I was battling something worse. The December of 2025 vs the December of 2024 is crazy. I left a job of almost five years. Said goodbye to students I poured my heart into. Closed a community I cherished with everything in me. And in that season, I carried a quiet grief for the things that once felt like home. It’s been a roller coaster of a year — highs, lows, sharp turns, and moments where I had to hold on tight. But I’m still here. Still learning. Still trying to be the best version of myself. If 2025 taught me anything, it’s that growth doesn’t always look graceful. Sometimes it looks like survival, honesty, and choosing yourself anyway. 2026, I’m ready 🖤 Photos by @itsjustxuann
