I am beyond thrilled to have the amazing Time Brickey @time.brickey perform with us again! Come enjoy some of the best improvising musicians and dancers from Chicago & some from NYC, & Michigan🙌🏾. This show will be live and also on Elastic’s twitch channel, for those that can’t join us. Freedom From and Freedom To is a cross disciplinary event featuring improvising dancers and musicians. Audience members will select the groups by chance. I’m extremely happy to present 33 performers! Many are FFFT veterans & others are brand new to the family! the mediums y'all. 2x3ft. you will love them they ship well, you can hold them with 1 hand, take them on the train, throw them in the car, etc it is absolutely enough space to dance the micros too. 1x2. they even fit in a bag, if you like big bags. and yeah, you can plug them in to an amp and makes your taps go BOOM I'll also throw them on foam, instead of the wooden frame if you need a lighter, cheaper model. I'm not a foam guy, but I get it fr fr. thats also an easier workload for me 🤷🏾‍♂️

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD (and fathers day and juneteenth) I'm very thankful this year that we still have you around. Thanks everyone for asking about my dad, he is OKAY! Better than okay really. Eternally thankful for his donor, Bill has a new heart, and is thriving. His healing process is gonna go on for a little while, but he is back where belongs. He's making music, telling jokes, and terrorizing his friends and family ❤️ I feel so lucky that I get to keep my dad around. The past year has been scary, but my family has really come together. With my dad and my Ooma in the hospital, both for surgeries, my family really came together. I nearly stayed home to help but they pushed me to head to NYC, and to trust the professionals to get him through this. Big thanks to the doctors, nurses, my incredible Mom and Stepmom, our community, and my father's donor! A four week series focused on developing a short choreographic work, and new drills. Class features a warm-up of classic time-steps, regimented technique drills, and an improvised element. We will then learn choreography as it is developed for a staged production. Students are encouraged to come all four weeks, but drop-ins are welcome too. #tapdance #class #workshop #newyork #fourweeks
