Loégaire MacNeill was the legendary high king of Ireland at the time St. Patrick landed on our shores. Initially he was strongly opposed to the new religion that Patrick and his followers were preaching, but eventually he succumbed and converted to Christianity. I composed this reel in response to his story. Here it scored for full ensemble of violin, piano, cello, horn and percussion tomorrow at the RIAM as part of @logaculture project based on the hill of Tara
