What a week of celebrations it's been!
Swipe for the story 👉👉👉
6 years ago, @ambrose.cooke , @mfasanya and I decided to build a business together whilst in uni.
We stumbled our way into building an incredible company which made a huge dent in the influencer industry.
Last week, we announced Fanbytes had been acquired - check the 2nd pic for the lowdown!
We built an amazing team of winners and people who love what they do - check the 3rd pic for some of these legends 💙
The last picture is where I grew up, on the 4th floor of a council estate on Old Kent Road.
It's a reminder that regardless of where you start, you are in control of where you end.
For all the messages and phone calls, thank you 🙏
P.S the 4th post perfectly encapsulates our personalities 😎
What’s Stopping You has become an Instant #1 Sunday Times Bestseller!! Thank you…
This one is for us. For everyone on the journey to becoming the best version of themselves and building the life they actually want.
On our live event, I was loud about my ambition for this book to hit the charts. Truthfully I was nervous.
My team and I had never done it before, and in front of thousands of people there was a real chance it could flop.
But you guys took it to the next level.
You shared it in group chats, bought copies for church groups, went into your local bookshops and demanded they order it in.
I know it sounds cliché but this is a win for us.
I’ve been genuinely moved by the stories and breakthroughs people are having reading the book. And by making this book a bestseller we are 10x’ing those stories.
My hope for What’s Stopping You is that you read it and by the end think “if this guy can do it, why can’t I?”
And my hope is that someone out there sees this number one bestseller achievement and says if a guy who grew up in the ends with a ton of self doubt, fear of failure and spicy brain can do it… then what’s stopping you?
This morning I came back to Old Kent Road to officially find out the news! As every milestone I reach I like to go back and pay tribute to where it all started 🙏🏿
To all my fellow ADD entrepreneurs, I wrote this a few years ago.
I’ve always had a spicy brain and in the last few years, was told I had ADD and OCD.
When the psychiatrist told me, I was so happy. The next day after my “diagnosis”, I wrote this note to myself.
It was my permission slip to not blame my neurospicy brain for who I was.
I read this anytime I feel mentally overwhelmed. I hope it helps you too.
How would you like to be mentored by an entrepreneur who built a £4.1bn business and fly in his helicopter??
My friend Richard Harpin built Homeserve from the ground up and sold it to PE for £4.1bn
He has a playbook for building companies fast, diagnosing what’s broken and giving you the exact tools to fix it.
I’ve built and exited a number of companies too. My lane is marketing + social media. So between us, we’ve got the full picture.
Sooo we’re doing something we’ve never done before (drum roll!!)
We’re both mentoring 1 entrepreneur to help take their business to the next level!!
You’ll spend a day with myself and Richard diagnosing your business strategy, customer acquisition, team building, everything!
Then we’ll get in Richard’s helicopter and fly around London. I’ve been in it, it’s cool!
It’s like having your own personal board of directors who will point out your B.S and help you grow faster.
This is for founders doing £1m+ a year. If you’re earlier stage, our advice probably won’t land the same way.
If you want to learn from people who’ve actually done it and build something huge, comment “mentor” to apply. It’s free.
We only pick 1 person and it could be you!
This kid dared me to rock paper scissors on stage!
In a recent keynote at a school, I talked about the importance of being fearless.
In the Q&A; this kid said, ”If you‘re so fearless, I dare you to play a game of rock-paper-scissors“.
of course I couldn’t resist.
To make it even tastier, I said I‘d pay £50 if he won and, judging by the video, I guess I’m keeping my £50.
But this isn‘t about myself, it’s about this kid Freddie.
In front of 300 people he challenged a stranger to a game of rock paper scissors
That takes courage, that takes hustle.
That’s what we should be teaching more in schools, the gumption to do things regardless of what others think.
I don‘t know Freddie but I know he’s a winner.
Let‘s be more like Freddie in our lives
