Holly, better known as SMKG KLLZ (@smkg_kllz ) is a local artist who enjoys a variety of media but feels most at home while painting pop art. She infuses comedy and word play into her art and doesn’t shy from raunchy subject matters. Her major influences include cartoons and comics, city life and the local rave culture she participates in. Alongside 4 close friends, Lucid is a Tkaronto collective throwing parties that aim to provide visual experiences alongside musical ones.
Tiger Lightning (@tigerlightning ) also known as Sam, is a Tkaronto based artist originally from the UK. His work spans various mediums, though he has been more focused of late on bringing together his passion for the intersection of technology and arts. Recently designing and building custom controllable lights for events such as Noise complaint and NotABBQ. His work is often playful in nature, usually as a response to the difficulties of life and wanting to give people a chance to escape.
Holly and Sam first worked together for the last Muster Point event. They designed and built a controllable light up cloud as the centrepiece for the event. Their piece for Long Winter X Geary Art Crawl will be expanding on this cloud into something more interactive for the audience.
