Hands down the best one of the year so far — and I’m so glad I dragged myself out of bed to catch it. The sky over Paignton Beach lit up in the most insane colours, so vivid that I actually had to dial the saturation back in post… it really was that intense.
Shot on the Canon R5 with a Tide CPL, which gave the scene that extra punch and depth. Truly a morning to remember 🌅.

Got a chance to try the Cinesoft filter from @tideoptics it adds a soft, hazy glow straight in-camera, kind of like the Orton effect without any post.
If you like that dreamy, diffused look, you’ll probably like this filter.
It definitely leans soft, and I t’s an interesting tool when the light and mood line up just right.

A ND filter is such a great tool to have with you for photography. Especially if you plan to take photos of waterfalls or moving water 📸
A neutral density filter (ND) is basically like having a pair of sunglasses for your lens. It reduces the amount of light going into the lens so that you can use a slower shutter speed. Having a slower shutter speed will allow your camera to capture the movement of the water like the photos I posted!
