Aerocene is a conception of open atmospheric space by artist Tomas Saraceno (
@studiotomassaraceno ), the concept of open atmospheric space, a symbol of sustainable development in an era of change. Against the backdrop of the irreversible environmental consequences of the Anthropocene, Thomas proposes a new paradigm: engagement with the atmosphere as a shared resource for science, art and environmental action.

This is a shift from exploitation to responsibility, from industrial domination to collaboration. The transition to the Aerocene era involves new technologies focused on sustainability and environmental protection.

The Aerocene map includes scientific missions, environmental monitoring and artistic initiatives to rethink our connection to the atmosphere.

This project demonstrates the rapid transition from one state to another. The minimalist landscape symbolizes the past of these territories with their traditional ways of life, while the storm front symbolizes the arrival of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the integration of advanced technologies. This front will sweep across the desert, bringing with it a new era of development for the region.
The work invites the viewer on a sensual journey through a storm front, a metaphor for technological and climatic transformations. Through visual and sound images, the project explores how modern technology shapes a new idea of environment, time and boundaries.

The focus is on human interaction with the atmosphere as a space of the future: open, unstable, but full of possibilities.
