The work is based on the concept of Aerocene by artist Tomas Saraceno (
@studiotomassaraceno ) with its ideas of transition to the Fourth Industrial Revolution as a global shift through rethinking the space of the earth’s atmosphere. This transition is embodied in the visual aesthetics of digital interfaces, radar screens analysing the movement of air masses, as well as in the deep sounds of technological processes - the work of computers, the noise of servers, the hum of electrical wiring, static electricity and satellite signals, which reach the viewer through kilometres of air. The artist creates an effect of complete immersion of the viewer in the very feeling of inevitability, when digital technologies penetrate all spheres of human life, changing the very perception of reality.
This work presents a reflection on the concept of Aerocene, which proposes to consider the Earth’s atmosphere as the only space without geopolitical boundaries, where hovering above the surface becomes a political gesture.
