After 10 years of consistently producing art, making merch and working with brands, I’m VERY excited to announce that I am taking on a new role as Creative Director for @zavviuk
I’ve been working hard for the last decade to build my own brand and reputation within the art community and it’s very humbling to be recognised for that and for my vision and in turn - to be trusted by another brand.
I’ve followed Zavvi for years and they are well known for their officially licensed goods in the pop culture universe. This is a really great opportunity for me to be in a role where I have creative freedom to help grow their brand and community and also have access to multiple IPs and licenses that I can work with and produce some really exciting capsule releases.
I’ll still have complete freedom to work on my own art and merch (so don’t worry, I’m not stopping anytime soon!) and it also opens a lot of doors for me to be able to build connections for more officially licensed Thumbs collabs. I see this as a very cohesive relationship with Zavvi and I’m really excited for the future!

It’s Mental Health Awareness week so I wanted to post some of the pieces from my Self Loathing series, a series which I started drawing to help myself get through some tough and stressful times. During the pandemic we had a lock down over here in the UK and there were times when it was really tough trying to balance everything, including trying run a small business while the odds were stacked against us. I wanted to try and put my thoughts and feelings of “spinning plates” into a drawing and I didn’t think how much it would resonate with people. I’ve been working on more of these in my spare time and I’ve currently completed around 70 different combinations. My goal is to reach 100 and release a coffee table book featuring them all.

Lifelong dream unlocked 🔴🟡🟢 As a teen, I’d spend hours drawing graphics for my favourite bands and dreamt of working with one of them someday. Fast forward to 20(ish) years later and as most of you know I had the immense honour of painting a bass guitar for Mark Hoppus! If that wasn’t cool enough - he invited me along to the London show at the O2 and man, I gotta say - @blink182 absolutely SMASHED IT!
Amazing atmosphere and just an all round wicked show. Seeing Mark playing my bass on stage was just the icing on the cake! Huge shoutout and thanks to @markhoppus for inviting me along to the show and trusting me to paint his guitar 💛🙌 Special shout out to @briandiazphoto for helping orchestrate this 🤘

April roundup! 📅 Lots of fun things from last month and I think a couple rolled into May but so what - who are ya? The calendar police? Enjoy some of my photos and watch my ego inflate as I wear a tux for my cousins wedding, I did try and opt for a spinning bow tie but she sadly said no to that, boring.
I also had the pleasure of doing all the branding and hand painted a sign for my mates Philly cheesesteak shop in Brighton called @williesphillys (be sure to check it out)

One of my favourite projects to date! This was a mural I completed for @officialgretsch at the Fender and Gretsch HQ in London. It’s took a total of 5 days painting and I had such a fun time working on it and checking out all the amazing history in the showrooms
I used So Flat paints by Golden which dried really nicely and with no brushstrokes so gave a really even look to the piece. I was really happy with the finished result and was super happy that the team at Gretsch gave me freedom to be creative 🫡 Thanks for looking!

A brand new “Self Loathing Cybertron” piece. This was a lot of fun to draw and I really wanted to encapsulate the madness of an autobots and deceptions battle within it. I also love working in a reduced colour palette, I find it really therapeutic trying to make a piece come to life with only a few colours, I do think it also allows a piece to merge into one and kind of separate the more you look at it.
I hope you dig this piece - cos I fucking love it 🙌
