Finally made it to
@maplehilldiscgolf today. Iāve been wanting to play this course since my friend
@discgolfcunninghams won the Vibram Open here in 2009.
Itās even more beautiful in person. I went to practice for the
@pdga_wge weāre playing there this weekend.
If you had asked me in 2011 when
@valariejenkins , myself, and the
@pdgawomen committee were planning the very first global event if I would be at Maple Hill for the 2026 Global, I wouldnāt have thought it was possible.
Now here I am, 15 years later, about to play a WGE in my 5th different state since its inception in 2012.
I used to always run the local WGE, but caregiver duties and
@throwpink duties pulled me away, and with so many other amazing women available to run one, I donāt need to anymore. I will miss my NC crew.
@rachhinson and
@alli.hnatt always put on a good event, but Iām thankful the New England ladies have welcomed me in with open arms.
Thatās the beautiful thing about being a disc golferāweāre everywhere, so you always have a friend.
