Eiko Kocher is hosting her first sanctioned event, which is one of our first WGE tournaments this weekend! 🥏
Eiko started “B-Town Birdies” about a year ago with the goal of building a local women’s disc golf community.
She’s organized weekly meet-ups, a clinic, and this will be her first sanctioned tournament.
She hadn’t planned to run a WGE tournament this year, but signed up for TD Academy to learn as much as she could before collaborating on another event. The final requirement of TD Academy is to host an event and the timing worked out perfectly for WGE!
🎓 Eiko graduates the TD Academy at the completion of her event. The next session for TD Academy will be announced soon and start late June / early July.

Did you know that you can play in as many WGE tournaments you want, and each of those gets you a spot on the global leaderboard?
Christina knows. She’s signed up for four events. Two of the events are about two hours away from where she lives and they are on different weekends.
So, what is it that makes WGE events so special?
“I love the idea of ladies across the world coming together in a UNITED event doing something that I absolutely love to do. It’s the unity of it all. It’s the knowing we’re all playing together and we’re all having a good time with all our differences.
“The love that is put into each of the WGE events is another key factor for me. Women are not the first thing that is thought of when most events are planned. Often an afterthought. But for the WGE events we are the ONLY thought. And that feels good. Meeting so many new ladies on the course and learning from them as I grow in this sport means a lot to me. I build new relationships daily. We are a family.”
