We are GIDDY. Officially announcing Threshold’s new brewer: it’s Gracie Nelson!! Dudes, we are so stoked!! Gracie IS Portland beer, we knew her first at Migration and then Steeplejack, where she honed her skills and defined her passion for historical styles and foraged ingredients.
She’s also an absolute romantic when it comes to brewing:
“I find the connections we can make to our raw ingredients to be specifically beautiful. There is no telling where you can take a beer when you love and enjoy where each element came from. My special interest lies in brewing with ingredients from the woods or garden, transforming a barley and hopped beverage into a hike through the forest.”
Hell yeah.
Gracie’s love for the craft is contagious and we could not be more excited to journey with her in this next Threshold chapter.

Spoonie G. was by all accounts the goodest of dogs! Always up for an adventure with his parents and sister Peaches and especially loved a 🚲 trip in his bike backpack. He was loved by all who knew him, taken too soon but remembered forever - we’re so honored to commemorate him with this spring release of Good Dog Guava.

So rad to host the @pinkbootspdx chapter with @westwood_farms_ and @charlesfaramusa at Threshold tonight for the first ever Tabor Hop Hike! We climbed Tabor, @its_banannie_time_ of Westwood gave a killer hilltop keynote and then it was back to T for beers and pierogi 👌. There was even a surprise cameo from our friend Adam @oldspeakbar / @alliterationales 👀. Tonight was special, thank you Pink Boots, representing Portland’s women and nonbinary pros in the beer and bev industry!
