The Listening Experience Vol. 8 featuring 3-SIX
If you’ve attended a volume of The Listening Experience or attended any North event this year, you would’ve gotten to know our beloved brother and fellow creative,
@threesixcpt . It’s an honour to curate an evening celebrating the upcoming release of “beats of mind Vol. 1”. A tape produced and intentionally sequenced by
@threesixcpt giving us, the listener a glimpse into his mind.
When asked what genre the tape would be categorised as, he said “Hip Hop”. We tend to limit artists when we categorise them. But 3-Six mentioned that he found great freedom in this genre as it allowed him to explore Boom Bap, Lo-Fi, Jazz, Soul and take inspiration from more upbeat sounds such as Dancehall and House.
