Temporary Teahouse on Marz is a fun variation of our series hosted at the @istherelifeonmarz space. We will continue to emulate our vision of the future, our very own teahouse, but this time in a bar!
Each event features another Chicago business and we are proud to announce @mokomatea , a local Japanese tea vendor connected to @sugoi_sweets will be joining us again!
Our plan is to run Temporary Teahouse events until we open up our own brick and mortar teahouse or run out of money!
Come build this third space with us so we can take off the temporary title!

Let's enjoy the Chicago summer as best we can, drinking tea outside!
We will be setting up in different parks across the city to share tea and conversation. As we get closer to each date we will post a more specific location within each park.
Our aim is to have seating at a table for those who have trouble sitting on the ground and also offering a more picnic like setting with a large blanket. Please feel free to bring anything that would ensure your comfort.

Gong Fu Cha is the traditional method of serving tea in China. This introductory class gives students experience and exposure to the traditional Gong Fu tea service.
This class is geared toward new tea drinkers or anyone unfamiliar with the Chinese tea service called gong fu cha. Come learn the foundations and see if it is the right practice for you. We will go over what gong fu cha is in depth, give a little history, and most importantly drink some tea.
Bring your questions and a notebook if you’re a notetaker!
